RUNNING THIS AGAIN IN CASE IT WAS MISSED IN NOVEMBER AND AS A REMINDER!NSW moves into national industrial relations system In an historic move, the NSW Government has decided that all NSW employers currently covered by the NSW industrial relations system (mainly sole traders and partnerships) will move into the national scheme from 1 January 2010. If you are an employer or employee currently covered by the NSW industrial relations system, there is some important information that you will need to know In the coming weeks, NSW Industrial Relations will publish information on topics relating to the national scheme that will help employers who have been working within the NSW industrial relations system to come to grips with the changes to their workplace arrangements. They will find out what they need to do to get ready for their move to the national system. We will also update the content on the NSW IR website as more information comes to hand and provide regular updates in this What’s New service. Do you employ or manage staff? The reasons are many and varied, from being able to password functions at a better level, having more than 5 users on the file at the same time. Have you stretched QuickBooks Premier to the seams? For more info just call the office…. 1300 442 484 PAYROLL FUNCTIONSJuly 1 this year saw the introduction of Reportable Employer Superannuation Contributions or (RESC). This is an issue if you have employees that Salary Sacrifice, you need to make sure your Payment Summaries report correctly in June 2010. Payment Summaries (Group Certificates). Businesses are still doing their payroll manually when they have QuickBooks Plus, QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier or QuickBooks Enterprise, all with the payroll package and spending hours at the end of the year preparing the Payment Summary. Is it time to integrate? QuickBooks 09/10 QBi is set up to manage this for you. Let us know if you need help to make sure all is right. FAQ’s and TIPSCan the reporting be customised to suit what I am looking for and memorised? Yes the reporting function of QuickBooks is probably in the top 5 of its strengths. You can customise most reports, or build them from a base and memorise them. You can also export them to excel with formulas already to read and manipulate straight from QuickBooks. There is currently a patch for 09/10 where you use credit card processing within QuickBooks. Paypal has changed the software functions and this stops QuickBooks working without the patch. |
